Hi, I’m Melissa - and I love photographing people.

Couples, in particular, have my heart. There’s something so genuine about the quiet gestures, the subtle connection, and the natural rhythm that unfolds between two people. It’s those honest, unguarded moments that truly tell their story.

My style is often described as classic but candid - portraits that feel elevated yet real, balanced by the in-between moments that capture the essence of your day.

I studied photography at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and even had the incredible opportunity to travel across Africa, capturing aerial images alongside a photojournalist and pilot.

After a few detours through the events and advertising industry, I eventually found my way back to photography.

I’m an introvert at heart, which probably explains my grounded, unobtrusive approach. I love connecting in a genuine way - creating space for you to feel comfortable while offering just enough direction to capture you at your best.

With my background in events, I’ve learned how to manage timelines, stay calm under pressure, and keep everything flowing effortlessly - so you can simply relax, be in the moment and enjoy your day.
